Another weekly video highlight post in which I highlight a video with an education theme from around web sometimes it is a new video and sometimes it is an old favorite.
This week you get two for price of one.Many people will have seen the child prodigy Adora Svitak talk at TED but she also did a speech at Ideas City conference both videos talk about childhood and adults view of childhood vrs children’s own view of childhood.
To inspire the teachers of tomorrow, she speaks at schools of education including DePaul and Bowling Green State University. Adora advocates for education innovation around the world. A prolific writer on education and related technology, Adora has written for EdTech Magazine. She is a prodigious blogger, posting on 21st-century learning at The Educators’ Royal Treatment, a blog dedicated to education. She was nominated in 2009 for the Edublogs Student Blog Award.

Child prodigy Adora Svitak says the world needs “childish” thinking: bold ideas, wild creativity and especially optimism. Kids’ big dreams deserve high expectations, she says, starting with grownups’ willingness to learn from children as much as to teach.
